Accommodation

Dear Europe,

Accommodation is most likely one of the most important considerations of your trip to Mechelen for EQC2017. The committee has decided to operate a policy of providing accomodation to non-playing volunteers from other continents, non-playing head referees and non-playing snitches first, with all other available spots allocated according to the ranking as outlined here. While we will not be able to provide free accommodation to all volunteers, we hope to be able to do so for non-playing volunteers, who are giving up their time and money in order to help make EQC2017 possible.

Should you have any questions regarding accommodation or volunteer accommodation policy, please do not hesitate to contact us through the contact form provided here.

EQC2017 will work with a Stay & Play Policy. This means that teams that participate in EQC2017 are required to book accommodation via the EQC2017 Committee. Booking details will be discussed when you confirm your EQC invitation email from the committee. (Invitations will be send out as soon as your NGB has send the EQC2017 Committee their team rankings.) Belgian teams are exempt from the Stay & Play requirement, but are still able to book accommodation through the EQC2017 Committee if they want to.

We have several ho(s)tels available, in both Mechelen and Brussels, breakfast included. We will be arranging transport between the accomodation options in Brussels and the tournament venue. Meanwhile the accommodation options in Mechelen are only 15 minutes away from the venue.

There is also accomodation on the tournament venue itself. This accomodation is reserved for the tournament committee, non-playing volunteers, and players from the three chosen Emerging Area teams.

Accomodation will only be from Friday to Monday. If you'd like to stay longer, please contact our Hospitality Coordinator, Louis Lermytte, via the contact form (see below). If you've already booked accomodation before 14 December 2016 , please contact Louis with your booking details.

You'll be contacted by the EQC Committee once we get all the details from your NGB, and you accept your spot.

Yours,

Laurens Grinwis Plaat Stultjes

Tournament Director
