World Cup

The World Cup (formerly Global Games) is an international tournament between national teams that takes place every other summer, with teams from all over the world competing for the title of Quidditch World Champion. It is organized by the International Quidditch Association every two years.

 

The last World Cup was held in Florence, Italy, this past summer (2018). The USA won, with Belgium coming in second and Turkey taking the bronze.

 

The World Cup before that was held in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2016. Australia won, with the USA coming in second and the United Kingdom taking the bronze.

 

The last World Cup under the Global Games moniker took place in Burnaby, Canada in 2014. The USA won, with Australia coming in second and Canada taking the bronze. 

The next World Cup will take place in 2020 in the United States of America.
